Measurement of tissue impedance during electroporation
Uher, Jakub ; Novotná, Veronika (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The Bachelor's thesis is devoted to the impedance of tissue in relation to the modern medical method electroporation. The Bachelor's thesis is divided into five chapters. The first three chapters describe the behaviour of the tissue and its impedance, whether during the passage of an electrical current or a phenomenon before and after the electroporation procedure. The fourth and fifth chapters examine those phenomena in the previous chapters on measurements made on animal and plant tissue.
Studying the effectiveness of corrosion-inhibiting substances in the repair materials and optimization of their dosage
Kroča, Michal ; Švehla,, Vladimír (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
Corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete structures poses a risk reduction of durability and ability to perform the required function of structures for which they were designed. The objective of this work was to study the effectiveness of a new type of corrosion inhibitor with different concentrations of the active substance and its comparison with commercial products. The corrosion inhibitors were part of a comprehensive system repair materials from Betosan s.r.o. and using the electrical measurements was studied their effect in reducing corrosion activity caused by aggressive chloride environments.
Effect of flexural loading on electrical properties of alkali-activated slag composites
Šimko, Lukáš ; Kusák, Ivo (referee) ; Rovnaník, Pavel (advisor)
Ordinary concrete is the most commonly used building material, but nowadays the requirements for low energy consumption, durability of structures together with their easy diagnostics as well as ecological production raises. This thesis deals with cement and aluminosilicate composites with content of conductive fillers, which allows to monitor the change in electrical properties, most commonly electrical resistance in dependence on mechanical stress. In the experimental part of the thesis, test beams were produced based on alkali-activated slag with content of carbon nanotubes, graphite powder, carbon black and carbon fibre. The beams were subjected to flexural loading in a three-point bending configuration and the shift in electrical resistance was monitored.
High-voltage method for measuring the specific conductivity of tissue
Uher, Jakub ; Novotná, Veronika (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
This master´s thesis is dedicated to the ever-improving medical method - electroporation. This work is divided into six chapters. The first two chapters describe what electroporation entails and how it affects the tissue, how we can evaluate it and how much influence the change in tissue temperature has on measurements. The third chapter deals with the design of coaxial arrangement of electrodes - from the initial simulation to the physical product. In the fourth chapter, the measuring workplace is shown. The penultimate chapter is described and processed by individual experiments carried out on animal tissue. The last, sixth chapter summarizes the possible inaccuracies that arise in the measurement and therefore affect the results.
Thin film systems
Rada, Vojtěch ; Sedlaříková, Marie (referee) ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on the problematics of thin-film technology. In the beginning the work deals with a general theory of this problematics, discusses various methods and ways to lay a thin film, where more emphasis is placed on magnetron sputtering, which is used in the practical part of the work, and describes procedures that are performed before and after the application of the thin film. The magnetron sputtering coating machine NP-12 and its control are described in the practical part of the work. Subsequently the selection and adjustment of suitable substrates is made, the thin-film system is deposited using the magnetron sputtering method and the analysis of the properties of deposited thin-film samples is done.
Tensometric measuring
Trojan, Vítězslav ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
This work is engaged in tensometric measuring. This work reports basic principles of tensometric measuring and problems connected with measurements. Different types of tensometres and their applications are described and elemental exercisee for common kinds of strain is infered. Suitability of tensometric sensor usage in mechanical engineering is discussed.
Slide Bearings Test Bench
Palán, David ; Knotek, Jiří (referee) ; Maršálek, Ondřej (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on measurement of electrical contact resistance. The beginning of the thesis is devoted to the introduction of the electrical contact resistance and electrical parameters of journal bearings. Next part of the thesis deals with engineering design of test rig. In order to verify functional measurement principle, the test rig based on engineering design has been made. In the end of the thesis the measuring devices and the measuring process is described. The measurement results from the test rig are presented.
Magnetic fields for biomedical experiments
Otýpka, Jan ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
In this work deals with magnetic fields for use in biomedicine. This solution involves the choice of the correct geometric arrangement of coils for generating magnetic field with a homogeneous distribution of magnetic induction of the widest possible area. The paper compares thre traditional types of coils, solenoid, toroid and Helmholtz coil. For Helmholtz and solenoid coil and is then carried out an analysis of the magnetic flux density in the inner space. Next part is devoted to electrical resonance in the LC circuit. This is then utilized for the development of pulsed magnetic field in the Helmholtz coil. It summarizes the theoretical and practical knowledge to design and construction of resonant converters. The end is devoted to the measurement of circuit parameters and verification of theoretical knowledge.
